3. Technology Framework

3.1. Blockchain Infrastructure

BetsWave is built on the Hedera Hashgraph network, a distributed ledger technology engineered for high-throughput, low-latency transaction processing with a materially lower energy footprint relative to proof-of-work blockchain networks.

  • High-Performance Transaction Processing: The Hedera network supports high transaction volumes at low per-transaction cost, enabling cost-efficient service settlement at platform scale.

  • Tamper-Resistant Record-Keeping: All transactions are permanently recorded on the decentralized ledger and are not subject to modification after confirmation.

  • Protocol-Level Accessibility: Blockchain infrastructure enables platform access without geographic restriction at the protocol level. Users remain independently responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable laws in their respective jurisdictions. BetsWave does not represent that platform access is lawful in all locations.

3.2. Smart Contract Architecture

Smart contracts govern the core operational logic of the BetsWave platform, including service request execution, fund escrow management, and settlement distribution.

  • Automated Service Execution: Service requests are executed in accordance with the programmatic logic encoded in deployed smart contracts, without requiring manual operator intervention.

  • Auditable Transaction Records: Every service request submission and settlement event is recorded on-chain and is independently verifiable by any party with access to the Hedera ledger.

  • Programmatic Fund Management: Funds committed to service transactions are held within smart contract escrow until settlement is complete, reducing users' counterparty exposure to platform operators.

  • Smart Contract Upgrade Mechanism: BetsWave may upgrade or modify deployed smart contracts as part of ongoing platform development. All material smart contract modifications are subject to the community governance process described in Section 4.5 prior to deployment. Upgrade proposals, voting records, and deployment logs are recorded on-chain.

Smart Contract Risk Disclosure: Smart contracts are software systems subject to programming errors, security vulnerabilities, and unforeseen execution scenarios. Despite routine third-party security audits, no smart contract system can be certified as entirely free from vulnerabilities or exploitation risk. Successful exploitation of smart contract vulnerabilities could result in partial or total loss of user funds held in escrow. Users interact with deployed smart contracts at their own risk and should conduct independent technical due diligence before committing funds. BetsWave does not warrant that smart contract execution will be error-free or uninterrupted under all conditions.

3.3. Data Integration and Oracle Dependency

BetsWave's settlement infrastructure relies on third-party data providers to supply real-time data outputs and event results, which feed into smart contracts to trigger settlement logic.

  • Real-Time Data Feeds: The platform integrates with established third-party data APIs to provide accurate data outputs and live processing information necessary for service settlement.

  • Automated Settlement Triggering: API data feeds are channeled directly into smart contracts, enabling automated and accurate settlement execution upon processing completion.

  • Decentralized Oracle Integration (Roadmap): Planned integration with decentralized oracle networks is included in the development roadmap and is designed to reduce single-point-of-failure risks associated with centralized data providers. This integration is not yet operative.

Oracle and Data Provider Risk Disclosure: Settlement accuracy is entirely contingent on the continued availability, integrity, and accuracy of third-party data feeds and oracle systems. Service interruptions, delayed transmissions, inaccurate data, or external manipulation of data feeds may adversely affect settlement outcomes, including producing incorrect or delayed payouts. BetsWave is not liable for settlement errors, incorrect outcomes, or delayed payouts attributable to third-party data provider failures, inaccuracies, or service interruptions. Users acknowledge this dependency as a material operational risk. See Section 8.4 for a full discussion of this risk category.
